Happy National Margarita Day!

It's National Margarita Day! And we certainly love margaritas! We love them so much we actually call them Aroogaritas. And today because we love them as much as you do, you can an Aroogarita fishbowl at any of our stores for only $5!

We also make our Aroogaritas with a sour mix that our staff makes in house. They use fresh lemons, limes, and oranges to make the perfect mix. We also have a bunch of yummy fruit purees to add!

Make sure you keep your eye on our website for more events and specials. We add things all the time so make sure you check it often!

Exciting things are afoot!

There has been a lot of new and exciting things happening here at Arooga's headquarters.



Two weeks ago we were finally able to open our newest store in York, PA! It's a smaller store than what some of you might be used to, but it has a really cool atmosphere. They also have an expanded draft and bottle list full of craft beer! I have to say it is pretty awesome to eat Almost Everything wings and drink a Bell's Hopslam at the same time. We also have a great crew of servers, bartenders, hostesses, and kitchen staff that have been training in our other stores for a few months and have done a great job and have really hit the ground running.


And now with Arooga's 124 open and rocking, we are really starting to focus our attention on Arooga's Draft House downtown! There's a lot of new and exciting ideas coming out that we can't wait to share with you all. I can tell you one thing... if you love beer and wings, you are going to love this place! We have a really cool contest going on right now too to get people excited about our downtown arrival. We've partnered with Harrisburg Bike Taxi and the Harrisburg Senators for this one, and you can win a really cool Harrisburg prize pack. Check it out here.



To coincide with Arooga's 124 opening, we launched a new menu too! You'll notice it's a bit different. Sleeker. Less bulky. Easy to hold. Plus it has a couple yummy new items on it like Salsa con Queso and a couple new mac & cheese dishes including my personal new favorite, mac & franks!



We also just launched our brand new website with a lot of cool new features! We've been working on this new site for quite awhile, and I'm thrilled at how great it looks.

We joined Instagram too! So if you have an iPhone and are an Instagram addict like me, make sure you follow us.

We will be announcing lots of other cool stuff soon, too. It's going to be a very exciting year at Arooga's for many reasons!

Valentine's Day Plans?

It's definitely not too early to be thinking about Valentine's Day. And we'd love you to spend it with us at Arooga's, but we understand that you and your honey might be looking for something a little more intimate. The good news is... we have that covered!

Valentine's Day is the perfect opportunity to check out our "sister restaurant" Brew 22 American Tavern. Chef Christian, Greg, and the rest of the staff would love to give you a unique, romantic experience complete with great craft beer and delicious food made with fresh, local ingredients in the incredible open kitchen.

February Funds For Friends

Whew! That's a lot of F's! But really the most important F-word here is FUNDRAISING!

During the month of February we will be increasing our donation amount for our Funds for Friends program to 20%!

How does Funds for Friends work, you ask?

Well, you give us a call here at the corporate office (our phone number is 717-635-WING) and talk to Nikki (extension 1). She'll set you up with a form to fill out which will give us all the information about what school, charity, organization, or cause you are raising money for as well as important information like when you'd like to hold your fundraising night.

You can pick from any Monday or Tuesday and you can even pick multiple dates to maximize your efforts.

So once you have a date, Nikki will send you a file with a little coupon slip thing. You can print it out, post it on Facebook, send it in emails, or however else you can think of to distribute the slips to all of your supporters.

Then, on your chosen dates, your supporters will bring in their coupon slips and give it to their server who will attach it to their check at the end of their meal. Those checks make their way back to Nikki who will add them all up and tabulate a total. Your fundraiser will get 20% of that total! Normally it's only 15%, but in the month of February we're upping the ante to 20%!

Pretty easy right? We think so too. Since we started our Funds For Friends program we've donated over $35,000 to different groups! Just a few weeks ago one group was able to raise over $1,ooo! We already have a lot of groups taking advantage of this February special so if you want to schedule your fundraiser you better give us a call quick! Our number is 717-635-WING(9464) and Nikki is extension 1.

Arooga's Cash is Back!

We got such good feedback from this event last year that we have decided to do it again this holiday season! If you don't remember this promo from last year here's how it works...

Starting Monday, you will receive a black envelope with every check you get at any Arooga's location. Each envelope has a special "Arooga's cash" coupon inside. Each coupon has a prize on it! Some have a free drink or a free appetizer, a percentage off coupon (anywhere from 10-100% off your food!), of gift cards. Some even have FREE TRIPS to Vegas & Aruba!



For your coupon to be valid, your envelope must be opened in the presence of an Arooga's staff member on the day of redemption. Which means you need to hang onto your unopened envelope and bring it back any day during January and February (except during bowl games and playoffs) to claim your prize! Our customers last year definitely had fun with the anticipation and excitement of finding out what was in their envelopes! It really is a fun promotion and no matter what you get, you win! It's like getting a Christmas present form Arooga's!

Arooga's is Coming to 2nd Street!

It’s official. We will be opening a new location on Second Street in Harrisburg. 201 North 2^nd Street to be exact.

But it’s not going to be just another Arooga’s… It’s going to be an Arooga’s Draft House & Sports Bar. A new version of our concept designed just for cities. It will include a larger draft selection, a majority of high top tables, and a sleek, toned down menu of all our most popular Arooga’s favorites.

Arooga’s Draft House & Sports Bar will also be the first Certified Green Restaurant in Downtown Harrisburg!

We are slated to open in the first quarter of 2012, and we are so excited to bring our award winning wings and a fresh new atmosphere to restaurant row!
